Our Mission
Our mission is to create an elite social club for young adults with disabilities—an inclusive and empowering community where meaningful connections are formed, social confidence is cultivated, and individuality is celebrated.
WHO WE ARE
Uncommon Collective is a social community of young adults (18+) with disabilities run by experts from the special education field.
We noticed once young adults with disabilities leave the school system, there are very few opportunities for continued learning, social connection, or community belonging. We want to change that.
Uncommon Collective is an elevated, accessible, age-appropriate social club and learning community designed specifically for adults with disabilities. Our members will have access to daily and weekly sessions in areas such as music, cooking, art and independent living, along with regular guided social gatherings and special events.
For participants, it is a place to grow skills, develop friendships, and feel a sense of belonging and community. For parents and caregivers, it is the peace of mind knowing their adult child has a supportive, enriching community-- one that is safe, social, and led by experienced professionals.
We call it “exclusively inclusive”-- a place where everyone belongs, and where every day offers a new opportunity to not just survive, but thrive.
